Prices. Money isn't everything – Please note that I do try to work with budgets. The prices listed below are based on black ink on regular stock, white or light-colored envelopes. There may be an additional charge for colored inks, dark or heavy envelopes. The final price will be set upon discussion of each project.
- Prices are roughly $1 per line for fine works with a fountain pen; a typical invitation with 3 lines on the outer envelope would be $3. Additional lines are $0.50. Zip codes on a separate line do not count as additional lines. If adding inner envelopes, typically one line, the price of the inner envelope is $0.50. - For addressing envelopes using regular ballpoint pens, gel pens or thin markers, no fountain pen, either in block or in my cursive penmanship, the starting price for a typical 3-line address would be $1.75. If adding inner envelopes, typically one line, the price of the inner envelope is $0.25. A set of outer/inner envelopes can be as little as $2.00. For examples, see the Handwritten Styles page.
- If I miswrite any name or address, I will rewrite at no cost to you.
- If your addresses change after I have written them, and I need to rewrite an envelope, I must charge the same price as though it were new. However, I realize we are human and can make mistakes, so I typically do not charge one (1) rewrite for each 50 envelopes.
- Prices do vary per project. I will determine the price based on the simplicity of your request.
- An additional $0.25 will be charged per envelope for dark or heavily-lined envelopes (if backlight does not show through).
